
Lacee Link is an accomplished cellist with a wide range of experience in teaching, performance and education. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, studying with Alan Rafferty. She holds Master’s degrees from Miami University, Boise State University and an Undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University. Her primary instructors have been Dr. Sarah Kim, Dr. Brian Hodges and Charae Kreuger.
Lacee is a registered cello instructor through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Her current teaching includes; Virginia Pearce Glick Young Musicians Cello Instructor, City Strings Cello Instructor, Princeton Middle School Private Cello Instructor, and Oxford Summer Music Institute Faculty.
Lacee has performed with numerous orchestras around the world. She performed as a substitute cellist in the Boise Philharmonic, LaGrange Symphony Orchestra and the Georgia Symphony Orchestra. She is currently a member of the Cincinnati Community Orchestra. She has also participated in many summer festivals including Ascent Music Dual Program, Cincinnati Young Artists, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival and Brevard Music Center.
Lacee has been the recipient of many awards and scholarships. In 2021, she won first prize in the Boise State Concerto-Aria competition and in 2019 was a finalist in the Kennesaw State University Concerto Competition. She has also been awarded the Boise State Graduate Quartet Scholarship, Miami University Teaching Assistantship, the John and Linda Cooke Quartet Scholarship at Kennesaw State University, merit scholarship for Brevard Music Center, merit scholarship for Ascent Dual Program. Most recently, she has been awarded full tuition and the Rinehart Mae A. Scholarship and Martha M. Crabtree Alumni Scholarship at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
Lacee has received masterclass instruction from top cellists such as Zuill Bailey, Dr. Melissa Kraut, Myron Lutzke, Daniel Laufer, Toke Møldrup and chamber masterclass instruction from the Berlin Philharmonic Piano Quartet, Vega String Quartet and the Dali Quartet.
With a blend of teaching, performance, and academic achievements, Lacee Link continues to inspire her students and contribute to her community through her passion for music and teaching.
